CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley's Veronica Halen has been named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week after scoring three goals in three wins in the Lynx 3-0 week.

The junior assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-0 defeat of Eastern Nazarene on Thursday and scored both goals against Mass Maritime in another 2-0 victory on Saturday.

In three games, the Lynx midfielder and reigning NECC Player of the Year totaled three goals and an assist for seven points in three Lynx victories. She now leads the NECC with 22 shots, is tied for the league lead with three assists and is tied for second with nine points.

After three matches in four days, Halen leads the 5-0 Lynx back into action a week from Tuesday, following a nine-day layoff at Endicott College.
