Lesley beats Becker 2-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University women's soccer team created some separation in the New England Collegiate Conference standings between themselves and Becker College following a 2-0 victory over the Hawks.  The Lynx improved to 9-4-1 (4-0 NECC) while Becker dropped to 7-5 (3-1 NECC).

Lesley's Jenna Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) scored the game-winning goal in the 20th minute after receive a touch pass from Kate Ryder (GLASTONBURY, Conn./Mercy) in the goalie box.  It was Fralick's seventh goal of the season. 

Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) reached a milestone as the senior captain scored her 90th career goal, unassisted, in the 49th minute of the match.  Fralick now has 19 goals on the season to lead the Lynx.

Becker's Shannon Tibbetts (WARREN, Mass./Quaboag Regional) had eight saves on the day in net while allowing two goals.  Her counterpart, Hailee Lowe (HAMILTON, Mass./Hamilton-Wenham Regional) stopped all three shots on goal attempted by the Hawks while recording her fourth shutout on the season.

Lesley outshot Becker 25-6 in the match.

The Lynx will travel to Daniel Webster College for a NECC contest on October 14 starting at 4:00 pm.  Becker will host Rivier College on the same day starting at 6:30 pm.
