CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In 11 previous meetings dating back to 1999, the Lesley University women's soccer team had never defeated Elms College.  On Sunday afternoon, the Lynx finally got in the win column as they won 3-0 over the Blazers in their first New England Collegiate Conference match of the season.

Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) scored two goals in the match, one in the first half and one in the second half to bring her season total to 11.

Fralick's first goal of the game was a redirect after a free kick from Cathryn Folkestad (IPSWICH, Mass./Ipswich) landed at her feet.  Fralick scored the goal in the 29th minute of the match.

Lynx freshman Kate Ryder (GLASTONBURY, Conn./Mercy) scored her first career collegiate goal at 48:17 after receiving a pass from teammate Dory LeCount (WALTHAM, Mass./Waltham) and firing a shot from 30 yards out over Blazers keeper Molly Corse's (BERNARDSTON, Mass./Twin Valley) fingertips.

Jodi Fralick scored her second goal of the match and Lesley's final goal in the 60th minute as she cut through two Elms defenders after a lead pass from Jenna Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) and placed a shot in the lower left corner of the net.

For the match, the Lynx outshot the Blazers 23-6 as the Lesley defense led by Folkestad, LeCount, and Savannah Dunay (EFFORT, Pa./Pleasant Valley) held the Elms offense in check.

Between the posts, Blazers keeper Molly Corse collected six saves and allowed three goals while Lesley's Hailee Lowe (HAMILTON, Mass./Hamilton-Wenham Regional) made two saves in her third shutout of the season.

Lesley will next host NECC opponent Mitchell College on Tuesday, September 29 at 8:00 pm while Elms travels to Southern Vermont College for a match on the same day starting at 4:00 pm.
