Alyson Durben claims ROTW honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Freshman Alyson Durben (Stow, Mass.) has been honored by the North Atlantic Conference as Rookie of the Week, after a week in which she tallied one goal and one assist for the Lynx.

In Lesley's first game of the week against Wheelock College, Durben assisted on the overtime goal in the 96th minute that would give the Lynx a 1-0 win.  After weaving her way through traffic to get into Wheelock territory, Durben put herself in a position to find her teammate down the left sideline to stretch the defense and eventually score the game-winning goal.

Four days later against Bay Path College, Durben made the most of her 27 minutes on the field by scoring the third goal of a 3-0 shutout.

With Durben's tremendous play, the Lynx went 2-0 on the week and improved their conference standing to 6-3-1 heading into their final regular season home game on Thursday October 25 at 7:30 p.m.

As the NAC playoffs approach, Lesley will look to Durben to continue her stellar play as she has proven to be a valuable asset on this Lynx squad.
