CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.), Lesley University women's soccer forward, received her greatest honor in a Lynx uniform as she was named to First Team All-New England by D3Kicks.com.

The selections comes after a 2007 season in which Fralick netted 22 goals and had six assists and was named North Atlantic Conference Co-Player of the Year.  Her 22 goals matched her 2006 total when she was named 2006 NAC Rookie of the Year.

In the 2007 season, Fralick led the Lynx to a historic 14-4-1 season which was recognized by the NCAA as the all-time Most Improved Season record after going 2-15-1 in 2006.  Despite being the best scorer on her team, Fralick knows that her success goes beyond her own determination and hard work.

"Jodi has a great work ethic and is very deserving of this recognition," praised women's soccer Head Coach Paul Vasconcelos.  "She would be the first to tell you, however, that she couldn't achieve any of this without a great group of players around her."

While Fralick has made an impact on the soccer field, she has been equally as impressive on softball diamond and on the basketball court.  In her freshman year as the softball team's catcher, Fralick was named NAC Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference.  She batted 0.466 with three homeruns, 41 runs scored, 33 runs batted, and seven stolen bases.  In the back-up point guard role for the basketball team, Fralick is even among the conference leaders in assists and steals.

The All-New England team, which is voted on by the coaches around all of DIII, named several other players from elite women's soccer programs to the list.  Players from Amherst College, Springfield College, Tufts University, Western Connecticut State University, Wheaton College, Williams College, and Worcester State College were all named First Team All-New England.

"This is a great honor not just for Jodi and the women's soccer program, but for Lesley University.  To have Lesley up there on that list with all these other great institutions is a great achievement.  We hope that gives us even more credibility in becoming one of the stronger DIII programs in New England."

With a new class of freshman soccer players ready to make an impact in 2008, Fralick and the rest of the returning Lynx will look to capture a conference championship in Lesley's new conference, the New England Collegiate Conference.
