Lady Lynx drop two in Vermont

VERMONT - Twelve goals in two games was too much for the Lesley Women's Soccer team to overcome in their first weekend trip to Vermont, as the Lynx lost 5-0 to Castleton State on Saturday, and 7-4 to Johnson State on Sunday in a pair of conference matches.

The losses dropped Lesley to 2-8-2 overall and 0-7-1 in the NAC.

Castleton State scored three goals before the half and it dug the Lynx into a hole they couldn't escape, even though Lesley stayed even in the shot department in the second half at 11-11.

The Lynx put up a much better fight against Johnson State, but they had no answer for Casey Rusin, who had a foot in all of Johnson State's seven goals, scoring five and assisting on the other two.

Freshman forward Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) had a hat trick for the Lynx and completed it in the 73rd minute to give Lesley a 4-3 lead, but Rusin still had two more goals and two assists to add.
