THE LEAD –  Lesley hosted Elms College last night in a non-conference matchup.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Blazers took an early lead over Lesley at the start of the first quarter, finishing the first ten minutes of the match with an 18-10 score.
• The Blazers continued to score at a rapid rate, not allowing Lesley to catch up. The teams retired for halftime with Lesley trailing 40-27.
• The Lynx defense slowed Elms down, only allowing them a single point in the first two minutes of the third quarter, curtesy of a block from Alexandra Kerley.
• The game finished with a final score of 9-1-67, Elms taking the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Kerley led the Lynx' defense with five blocks, 17 rebounds, and 16 points.
• Paige Stowers put up 20 points for the Lynx, followed by Savannah Stowers who put up 10 points, and six rebounds.  
• Lesley led the match in free throws, with 14-23 made over Elms' 7-15.
