Lynx Season Closes with Playoff Loss to Pilgrims

GAME OVERVIEW:

HENNIKER, NH. -- The Lesley Women's Basketball team finished out their season with a 74-40 NECC Playoff loss to the New England College . The Lynx end the season at 2-19, while the Pilgrims move onto the NECC Championship with an 18-7 record.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Lesley was unable to get any offense going in the first half. Alexandra Kerley put nine points on the board in the first quarter, but the second quarter saw only on Lynx point. McKenna Rodriquenz made a free throw for the only Lynx score as they the Pilgrims put up an 18-1 run to put the game out of reach.
  • The Lynx bounced back in the second half, but were unable to get back in the game. Raven Premont scored eight points, making two three-pointers, to lead the Lynx in the second half. Kerley led the team with fifteen points by the end of the game, while the NEC defense was able to limit Kizziah Ruff to five points and held Sydnie Drezek without a basket.
  • Kayla Goldring and Brianna Pierreval kept the pace for the Pilgrims, with Goldring scoring 20 points with 13 rebounds and Pierreval scoring 12 with 10 boards. Pierreval also had four of the team's twelve total steals, helping NEC score 16 points off turnovers.
