Shorthanded Lynx Fall to Pilgrims 67-36

GAME OVERVIEW:

HENNIKER, NH. -- The Lesley Women's Basketball team dropped their first conference matchup to the New England College Pilgrims by a score of 67-36 on Thursday night. The Lynx drop to 2-11 overall this season and 0-1 in the NECC, while the Pilgrims advance to 10-4 and 3-0 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx only had seven available players and were unable to keep up with the Pilgrims pace. They stuck close in the first half, only trailing by eight at halftime, but could only score ten total points in the second half.
  • The Pilgrims got big games from Brianna Pierreval, who had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Kayla Goldring, who collected 13 and 10. Ericka Pratt had a strong game on both sides of the ball, scoring 12 points while picking up 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 blocks.
  • Lesley got strong performances from Kizziah Ruff with 12 points and Raven Premont with 11 off the bench. Alexandra Kerley picked up 8 rebounds, while Jordan Blair had five assists.
  • NEC had a huge advantage in points off turnovers, outscoring Lesley 25 to 7, and they were able to better take advanage of offensive rebounds by scoring 21 second chance points.
