CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University women’s basketball team had their best season under Head Coach Dan Hunt as they finished the 2007-2008 season with a 11-14 (5-9 North Atlantic Conference) record. The season was highlighted with key wins over stiff competition, a milestone reached by a senior captain, and the emergence of an exciting group of young players.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2007-2008 season has ended for the Lesley University women’s basketball team, but two of the squad’s players have earned North Atlantic Conference All-Conference honors.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Kaitlyn Wechsler (Merrick, N.Y.) is making a strong case to the rest of the North Atlantic Conference for being Rookie of the Year as she has been honored as Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.
FARMINGTON, Me. – Freshman Kaitlyn Wechsler (Merrick, N.Y.) and Brianne Caira (Pelham, N.H.) gave a glimpse of the future for the Lynx as the freshmen scored 16 and 15 points respectively, in a 78-67 loss to UMaine-Farmington. The loss dropped Lesley’s record to 11-14 (5-9 North Atlantic Conference) while Farmington improved to 11-12 (8-5 NAC).
WATERVILLE, Me. – Needing a victory over North Atlantic Conference opponent Thomas College to keep their playoff hopes alive, the Lesley University women’s basketball team lost to the Terriers 70-62.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On senior night for the Lynx, the women’s basketball team defeated Elms College 79-33 to improve their record to 11-12 (5-7 North Atlantic Conference) while the Blazers dropped to 8-16 (5-9 NAC).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University men’s basketball team defeated North Atlantic Conference opponent Maine Maritime Academy 57-54 while the women’s basketball team lost to the Mariners 63-54.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams were in action on Friday night against Husson College, but only the men were able to walk away from a victory against the Eagles. The women lost 67-51 and dropped their record to 10-11 (4-6 North Atlantic Conference) while the men improved to 7-15 (5-5 NAC) with final moments 60-59 victory over Husson.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University played a North Atlantic Conference double-header with Thomas College on Saturday afternoon and split the series with the Terriers. The men defeated Thomas 71-34 while the women lost 79-62.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a North Atlantic Conference match up against UMaine-Farmington, the Lesley University women’s basketball was defeated 53-41. The loss drops the Lynx record to 10-9 (4-4 NAC) while the Beavers improved to 9-10 (6-3 NAC).
BOSTON, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s basketball team lost to Emmanuel College 82-55 in their final non-conference game before a long stretch of home North Atlantic Conference match ups. With the loss, the Lynx fell to 9-8 (4-3 NAC) while the Saints improved to 15-5 (8-0 GNAC).

Despite her achievement, the Lynx fell to the Spartans 60-52 and dropped their record to 8-7 (3-3 North Atlantic Conference) while Castleton State improved to 9-6 (5-1 NAC).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University defeated Wheelock College on Wednesday evening 66-55 in a North Atlantic Conference match up. With the victory, the Lynx improved to 8-6 (3-2 NAC) while the Wildcats dropped to 2-11 (1-5 NAC).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior guard Courtnie Leakeas (Lowell, Mass.) had a pair of 20-plus point games, but Lesley couldn’t show anything more than a pair of hard-fought losses as the Lynx fell to Maine Maritime, 65-60, on Friday night, and, 78-74, to Husson on Saturday afternoon in a weekend road trip for North Atlantic Conference East Division results.

NORTON, Mass. – In the second game of the Wheaton College New Years Tournament, the Lesley University women’s basketball gave Emerson College a tough game in an 65-45 loss on Friday night.
NORTON, Mass. – The first contest for the Lesley University women’s basketball in 2008 resulted in a loss to the Wheaton College Lyons by the score of 73-41. The loss was the first game of Wheaton’s New Years Tournament and Lesley will play Emerson College, who were defeated by Trinity College (Conn.), in the consolation game on Friday.
