Harrington scores a team-high 19 in loss

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Kelly Harrington (Toledo, Ohio) poured in a game high 19 points but it was not enough as Lesley University fell to the Maine Maritime Academy 85-48.

Maritime used a very balanced attack in its win over Lesley, as 4 players hit in double figures.  Maritime was led in scoring by Michelle Gott-Stilwell (Tremont, Me.) who had 14 points.

The Lynx played the last year's NAC runner-up tough the entire way but were unable to consistently hit their shots.  Lesley was able to hit only 31% of their shots from the floor and the difference between their field-goal percentage and Maritimes (44%) was the games biggest factor.

Lesley got nine points and five rebounds out of Courtnie Leakeas (Lowell, Mass.).  Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.) led the team with four assists and added five rebounds of her own.  Christina DiGiorgio (Lowell, Mass.) struggled from the floor but hit a very solid 6-8 from the free throw line.

The Lynx battle Husson College on Saturday, December 2nd at 3:00 pm at BB&N and then travel to Mount Ida on Tuesday, December 5th.  For more information on the women's basketball team please go to their website.
