PLAYER, PITCHER, AND ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

For the first time in NECC Conference history the player, pitcher, and rookie of the week awards were earned by one student-athlete. Freshman Jordan Day (Seminole, Fla.) hit .625 over six games for the Lynx, with two doubles, a homerun, and three RBI. She had an on-base percentage of .700, and a slugging percentage of .938. She had a hit in five of the six games, and multiple hits in three games. In a win over Alfred State, Day went 2-for-3 with a double, a homerun and two RBI. She also had two hits in a 9-3 win over Keystone. Then, in an extra-inning 6-5 win over St. Scholastica, Day batted 4-for-4 and scored two runs. On the week, the rookie totaled 15 bases and scored six runs. In the circle, Day went 2-2 for the Lynx, in five appearnces, posting a 4.35 ERA in 27.1 innings pitched, while striking out 30. She picked up 10 strike outs, while only giving up two earned runs, in a rout of Alfred State. Day then picked up a complete game, extra-innings, victory over St. Scholastica, tallying 9 strikeouts and giving up only three earned runs in nine innings.
