NECC softball honors for Raab and Day

Player of the Week:

Jordan Raab (Jr., Infielder), Lesley University

New Hampshire native Jordan Raab batted .714 with a 1.000 slugging percentage over two games on Saturday, March 10 for the Lynx. The junior went 3-for-3 in a 6-2 victory over University of Saint Joseph (Connecticut) with a triple and two RBIs. In the following game, Lesley came from behind to defeat Alfred State and Raab went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base. 

 

Pitcher of the Week:

Jordan Day (P., 1B), Lesley University

Florida born Jordan Day went 2-0 for the Lynx allowing only three earned runs to record a 1.62 ERA while striking out 21 batters in 13.0 innings pitched. In a complete-game win over University of Saint Joseph (Connecticut), Day only allowed five hits while striking out nine as the Lynx defeated the Bluejays 6-2. The freshman struck out 12 over six innings in the 6-1 win over New York's Alfred State.

 

Rookie of the Week:

Jordan Day (P., 1B), Lesley University 

Jordan Day batted .625 on Saturday, March 10, with a 1.750 slugging percentage. Day went 2-for-4 in a 6-2 win over University of Saint Joseph (Connecticut). In the comeback victory over Alfred State later that day, the freshman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and a RBI. In the circle, the Florida native tallied two wins, allowing only three earned runs to post a 1.62 ERA, while striking out 21 batters in 13.0 innings pitched.
