ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Senior outfielder Mekenzi Golden (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week, announced Monday afternoon. Golden led the Lynx to 4-1 week following a career day on Saturday driving a single-game high five baserunners against Southern Vermont College. 

Over five games, Golden posted a .571 (8-14) batting average with two doubles, two homeruns and 12 RBI while registering a staggering 1.810 OPS (1.143 SLG%, .667 OBP). She closed out the week going three-for-five with a double, a homerun and a single-high five RBI in a 21-1 win over Mountaineers. But she was far from done. In game two of the double-header, Golden drove in another five RBI in a 21-2 win after going two-for-four with four runs scored. 

The previous day against non-conference Dean College, Golden drove in the game-tying run in the bottom of the sixth inning with a base-hit to leftfield as the Lynx swept the Bulldogs, 3-1, 3-2.
