CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University has claimed the number three seed and will play host to sixth-seeded Bay Path University in the First Round of the New England Collegiate Conference Softball Championship Wednesday night at 7:00p on the Regis College campus.

The Lynx wrapped up the regular season with a 19-15 overall mark and a 13-5 record in NECC play.

Lesley swept the regular season series with Bay Path, taking a pair of victories by scores of 6-3 and 6-1.

Becker College will enter as the one-seed as the Hawks earned the regular season crown with a 17-1 NECC ledger, their only blemish coming at the hands of the Lynx.

Newbury College finished 14-4 in conference matchups and earned the third-seed and will play host to seventh-seeded Elms College, who finished with a 9-9 mark in conference play. Regis College (11-7 NECC) and Mitchell College (10-8 NECC) will meet in the 4/5 matchup on Wednesday afternoon.
