Softball Celebrates Second Annual Alumni Game

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – This past Sunday the Lesley University softball team celebrated their Second Annual Softball Alumni Game. The Lynx of years past battled the current team on a perfect fall afternoon.

"It was a beautiful day that was competitive and fun for all of us," said Lynx head coach Jen Benway. "Alumni from several different classes were here and I love that they want to come back and play. Our players have always had great pride in our program and it is a wonderful tradition to come back to!"

"Being part of the Lesley University softball team for four years was some of the best times of my life," said former Lynx Georgia Saltzman Curtis '10. "I had never been part of such a close-knit, respected, well-coached, and successful team. When asked to play in the Alumni Game, I was very excited to once again lace up my cleats and run onto our home field."

"I was able to share the experience with my family, including my two young daughters. It also gave me the chance to reunite with old teammates and friends and the pleasure of meeting the current Lesley softball team. It was really a great day all around filled with sunshine, laughs, and a great group of people."

"The was really exciting," said current Lesley short stop Selena Quezada. "It was awesome to see the alumni come back with big smiles and excitement to play.  It means a lot that after however many years these alumni still care about the softball program, it just makes it that much more special to put on the uniform."
