CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University softball program welcomed former members of the team back to Cambridge this past Saturday as they celebrated their first annual Lesley Softball Alumni game. The former Lynx squared off in a game against the current Lynx on a beautiful fall afternoon at Buckingham Field.
"It was a perfect day for our current student-athletes to connect with some of the members of the team from years past who really helped start a tradition of success," said Lesley head coach Jen Benway. "It was a lot of fun to be on the field playing with everyone and talk about old memories that seem like yesterday. We were thrilled with the turnout in our first year and hope it is something that we can build on moving forward."
Lesley President Joseph Moore was also in attendance as he threw out the ceremonial first pitch and served as the field umpire.
