Softball Picks Up Porter Square

Prior to their doubleheader sweep over Southern Vermont College on Saturday, the Lesley University softball team teamed up with the Aggasiz Baldwin Community Council and volunteered to help clean up the Porter Square area and Massachusetts Avenue.

"It is important to us that we help give back to the community that has given us so much," said Lesley Head Softball Coach and Athletics Director, Jen Benway. "Porter Square is such a beautiful area and an integral part of Lesley University where many of our students spend a lot of time. To help with 'spring cleaning' and help beautify the area was very rewarding. It develops a sense of pride in the community for our team."

The Aggasiz Baldwin Community is a non-profit organization that promotes the health, safety, and welfare of Cambridge community members including development and operation of educational, recreational, and cultural programs. To learn more about the ABC, please click here.
