For the first time this season, Lesley University softball has been ranked by the New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association, debuting at No. 10 in this week's poll.

The surging Lynx have won five games in a row, eight out of nine and are 9-0 in New England Collegiate Conference play.

On Monday, junior designated player Emily Mangiaratti was named NECC Player of the Week, sophomore pitcher Jennifer Dorval was named NECC Pitcher of the Week, and sophomore catcher Allison Fountain was named NECC Rookie of the Week.

The Lynx return to play on Thursday at Babson, which was an honorable mention in the NEISCA preseason poll. This week's poll is below:
