Wheelock College at Lesley University

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Sarah Wilson (Lowell, MA) and Jodi Fralick (Woburn, MA) both homered for Lesley as the Lynx went on to defeat the Wheelock College Wildcats 11-1 to open conference play.

The Lynx got a solid effort out of Christina Anzilotti (Pelham, NY) who pitched 5 innings while giving up one run off four hits and striking out three.  With the win Anzilotti improves to 3-2 on the season.

Fralick led the team with two RBI as she was 2-3.  Georgia Saltzman continued to show her power as her first inning double scored two and she finished the day with two RBI.  Alicia Pari (North Providence, RI) who is starting to really catch on fire at the plate went 2-3 on the day.  Catherine Hennessey (Arlington, MA) took over the designated hitter spot in the fourth inning and singled for her first ever Lesley hit.

The win pushes the Lynx to first place in the NAC West as they improved to 1-0 in conference play.  Lesley hosts Lasell College tomorrow, Saturday, March 31st for a doubleheader.  Lesley defeated the Lasers in the quarterfinals of last year's NAC Tournament and there is no doubt that Lasell will be hungry for revenge.  For more information on the Lesley women's softball team please go to their website.
