Peltier To Lead Men's and Women's Cross Country Program

CAMBRIDGE, MASS--  Brendan Peltier was named Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Cross Country program in June of 2017. Peltier competed for Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) from 2011-2015 and brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the Lynx Program. While competing as a Trailblazer and captain of the 2015 season, Peltier earned the Most Valuable Athlete Honors, multiple Blue and Gold Student Athlete of the Month awards, and finished first place for the Trailblazers in every race in the 2015 season.

 "Brendan has a true passion for running and the well-being of our student-athletes," says Director of Athletics, Jen Benway.  "He brings a great sense of energy and enthusiasm that I know our runners will respond to.  We are excited to see where the program goes under his leadership."


Peltier continues to compete and has reached many of his racing PR's while training with various clubs post college. He has competed in 5 Marathons, including training for the NYC Marathon with hopes of finishing in 2:50, and just broke is PR with finishing the mile in 4:58.

"I am very excited about the 2017 season with the Lynx, and hope to chase a NECC conference title while building both programs for future seasons," states Peltier.  "As a dedicated and passoniate runner who loves to train, compete, and win, I can't wait to share my experiences with the student-athletes.  A big thank you to Director of Athletics Jen Benway and the Athletics Staff for their support and trust in me to head the Men's and Women's Cross Country Programs."

Peltier earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Policy from MCLA.  He is currently finishing a Masters of Public Administration from Framingham State University.
