Men's Cross Country Caps Season at NCAA Regionals

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Lesley University men's cross country team wrapped up their 2016 campaign this afternoon at the NCAA Division III New England Regionals, hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park.

Senior Tyler Burns (Newton, Pa.) led Lesley's runners with a time of 31:19 while sophomore Mike Fleming (Southwick, Mass.) followed closely behind at 32:45. Freshman Matthew Mori (Natick, Mass.) finished at 33:49.

Fellow freshmen Matt Arsenault (York, Maine) and Ethan Merians (Larchmont, N.Y.) each turned in personal-best times of 36:15 and 41:39, respectively.

The women's cross country team finished their season with a bang as senior Amy Bouchard (Goffstown, N.H.) and sophomore Nicole Footer (Lewiston, Maine) finished with the 5th and 6th best times in program history. Bouchard led the charge for the Lynx and covered the 6k course in 25:06 while Footer followed closely behind at 25:20. The duo paced five Lesley runners who set new personal-records today.

Senior Hannah Levensailor (Ayer, Mass.) was part of the brigade that set a new personal-best time of 26:27 while classmate Sydney Altschuler (Durham, Conn.) also set a PR when she crossed at 26:45.

Junior Alex Dimauro (Woburn, Mass.) posted a time of 26:50 and freshman Kayla Ranere (Danbury, Conn.) topped her personal-best mark, crossing the finish at 30:06. Senior Abbey Coppinger (Moultonborough, N.H.) capped Lesley's efforts with a time of 30:18.
