Green, Men's Cross Country Take Fifth at Fens

BOSTON, Mass. – Nick Green (Stoughton, Mass.) helped the Men's Cross Country kick off their season in an impressive fashion as the sophomore ran to a fifth-place finish this morning at the Fifth Annual Fens Classic hosted by Emmanuel College. Green finished the 5K course in 16:41 to help lead the Lynx to a fifth place overall finish.

The Lynx had two other runners finish in the top-25 as sophomore Ian Barber (Westhampton, Mass.) and senior Chris Conforti (Brattleboro, Vt.) came in at 17:19 and 17:34, respectively.

Senior Dillon Simmons (Middleboro, Mass.) finished in 17:53 while freshman Kilton Webb (Wayne, Me.), running in his first collegiate race, crossed at 19:02. Junior Jordan Church (Garrison, N.Y.) rounded out the Lesley troops, posting a time of 21:37.

As a team, the Lynx posted a total time 1:28:29.00 with an average time of 17:41.80.

Lesley will compete again next week when they travel to Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn. for the Trinity Invitational hosted by Trinity College.
