Blazers Dominate Lynx Early in 3-0 Sweep

GAME OVERVIEW:

CHICOPEE, MA. – The Lesley men's volleyball team struggled against the Elms Blazers losing in a 3-0 sweep on Saturday evening. The loss puts the Lynx at 0-11 overall on the season and 0-2 in the NECC, while the Blazers move to 111-8 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx were outmatched in the first set, losing 25-1. Elms started with a 16-0 run and were only interrupted for a point before finishing their next nine points. Jake den Bleyker got the sole kill for the Lynx in the first set.
  • The second set saw some life from the Lynx early, but a nine point run caused them to call both of their timeouts and eventually lose 25-7.
  • The third set was another Lynx loss, but they were able to score twelve points. den Bleyker had three kills on the day, while AJ Genova and Armando Bahena each had two.
  • Elms was led by Antonio Delgado and Ryan Perry, who each had ten kills. Pedro De Jesus had 25 assists for the Blazers.
