Lions Power Past Lynx in Conference Action

QUINCY, Mass. - The Lesley University men's volleyball team fell to Eastern Nazarene College, 3-0, in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action, Thursday evening. 

The Lions climb to 11-8 on the season with the win while the Lynx slide to 1-16 overall.

Prior to the start of the match, the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team recognized its lone senior: Colin Fischer (Lansdale, Pa.).

Kenny Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) led the team with 11 kills while adding seven digs and three assists. Andrew Shaw (Weymouth, Mass.) posted six kills and nine digs on the night. Matthew Tyree (Lansdale, Pa.) dished out 25 assists and dealt eight aces in the victory.

The home team rolled to a 25-12 win in the opening frame to generate a 1-0 lead.

Eastern Nazarene captured the second set 25-17 to stretch its advantage to 2-0 in the match.

The Lions locked up their third win in a row with a 25-12 decision in the third game.

Jason Hulteen paced Lesley with seven kills while Karuna Chiemruom notched 14 assists and four digs.

Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene visits Regis April 1 for a New England Collegiate Conference clash.
