Men's Volleyball Falls to Pride in Three Sets

WESTON, Mass. - The Lesley University men's volleyball team returned to the hard-court after a five-day break and fell to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) foe Regis College, 3-0, Monday evening. 

With the win, the Pride improves to 6-7 (2-0 NECC) on the season, while the Lynx continue to seek their first victory of the season, falling to 0-12 (0-4 NECC).

The Pride set a new program record for highest hitting percentage (.595) and most service aces (23) in the win. Already the all-time program record holder with 70 career service aces entering the match, senior Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) added 10 more to his total on Monday night to extend his record.

Sophomore right side Drew Beimel (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and junior right side Jeff Ramos (Pawtucket, R.I.) each added eight kills to pace the Pride offense, which was firing on all cylinders all night long. On 37 attack attempts on the evening, the Pride only committed four attack errors.

The Lynx struggled to get any offense going throughout the evening. The team's hitting percentage was -.382, and the team was only able to tally two kills on the night.

The Pride will return to action on Wednesday night when they play host to Elms College at 7:00 p.m. in NECC play. The Lynx will look to get into the win column with on Saturday with a tri-match at Elms against the Blazers and Dean College.
