Men's volleyball falls to MIT Engineers

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Coming off their first victory of the 2009 season, the Lesley University men's volleyball team was defeated by cross-town rivals the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in straight sets 3-0 (30-10, 30-12, 30-12).  The Lynx fell to 1-11 (1-7 NECVA) while MIT improved to 9-9 (5-3 NECVA).

Lesley's outside hitter Stephen Siragusa (Valley Stream, N.Y.) led the team with five kills and Mike Jack (Buenos Aires, Argentina) added three more in the loss.

Clayton Janer (Guilford, Conn.) registered nine assists and Nick Assad (Andover, Mass.) blocked four shots in the match.

For the Engineers, it was their four victory in a row. 

Lesley will travel on Saturday, February 21 to Wentworth Institute of Technology for a tri-match including Emerson College starting at 11:00 am.  MIT plays Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday, February 18.
