Lynx compete in NAC championship

Waterville, ME- The Lynx Track and Field program wrapped up its season over the weekend as they competed in the NAC conference championship meet. 

 

Women's Results:

  • Raffaella Vogt competed in the 100m dash, finishing with a time of 14.86s. 
  • Hannah Nangle competed in the 1500m, finishing in fourth place with a time of 5:21 to bring in 5 points for the Lynx. 
  • Kaeden Green ran in the 400m, finishing third with a time of 1:03.76 to bring in 6 points to recieve all-conference in the event.
  • Michelle Hutter also competed in the 400m, finishing 8th with a time of 1:16.09 to bring in 1 point.
  • Tori Young competed in the field side in the shot put. She would finish 16th with a throw of 8.61m (28'3").
  • Young would double back in the discus, finishing 19th with a throw of 21.94m (72'0")

 

Men's Results:

  • Hezekiah Brown was the lone men's competitor. He ran in the 100m, finishing with a time of 11.69 to place 8th and bring in 1 point.
  • Brown would double back in the long jump, with a best mark of 6.40m (21'00") to place third, bringing in 6 points and recieving third-team all-conference. 

 

In total, there were 5 season best performances to end the season for the 6 competitors. As it currently stands, freshman Kaeden Green is currently seeded 20th in the nation in the triple jump. Her mark of 11.73 meters has also qualified her for the New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships taking place this coming weekend. There, she will look to improve upon her mark to try and qualify for the D3 National Championships.
