Men's Track Competes at UNH Invite

DURHAM, N.H. – Lesley University freshmen Mike Fleming (Southwick, Mass.) and Gaelon Kolczynski (Yarmouth, Maine) both registered personal –bests today at the UNH Invitational.

Fleming topped his previous best time in the 100-meter for the third straight race, sprinting to a time of 12.17 before shaving off .55 of his PR in the 200-meter, crossing at 24.45.

Kolczynski cruised to a time of 55.04 in the 400-meter, besting his time from last week's Smith College Invitational by 1.59 seconds.

The rookie due also competed in the long jump as Fleming leaped 5.47m while Kolczynski registered a jump of 5.37m.

On the women's side, senior Coni Bernales (Santiago, Chile) set the program record in the long jump as she qualified for the NCAA Division III Regional meet with a leap of 5.03m. The sprinter also led paced the Lynx in the 200-meter as she crossed at 27.59. Sophomore Jordan Penney (Eliot, Maine) followed Bernales in the 200m with a time of 29.35.

Fellow sophomore Kelly Lynch (Topsham, Maine) powered Lesley in the 800-meter and the 1500-meter with respective times of 2:36.07 and 5:19.58. Freshman Kimberly Arlen (Manchester, N.H.) followed in the 1500m, crossing at 5:47.51. Classmate Nicole Footer (Lewiston, Maine) rounded out the Lesley efforts on day finishing the 3000-meter in 12:29.75.

The Lynx will be back in action on Sunday, May 1st when they head to Regis College for the annual Pride Invitational.
