Tuccinardi, Crispino Post Personal-Bests at MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University traveled to Cambridge neighbor MIT to compete in the for the second annual Sean Collier Invitational in a meet that featured competition from NCAA Division I, II, and III programs.

Lesley senior Tyree Williams (Boston, Mass.) led the Lynx runners as he posted a time of 12.05 in the 100-meter and 24.30 in the 200-meter. Fellow seniors Nick Tuccinardi (Melrose, Mass.) and Spencer Crispino (Montgomery, N.J.) both joined Williams in the 100-meter with times of 13.28 and 13.38, respectively.

Crispino also ran in the 200-meter and topped his personal-best time for the second consecutive week as he came in at 27.75. Tuccinardi also enjoyed a personal record in the 400-meter as he crossed the finish line at 59.38.

Junior Constanza Bernales (Santiago, Chile) paced the Lynx on the women's side as she turned in times of 13.23 and 27.14 in the 100-meter and 200-meter, respectively. Senior Chelsea Reuther (Boxborough, Mass.) and freshman Caitlin Sugrue (Rokland, Mass.) joined Bernales in the 100-meter with times of 14.37 and 14.96, respectively.

Junior Rachel Asam (Coeymans Hollow, N.Y.) and sophomore Abbey Coppinger (Moultonborough, N.H.) both enjoyed success in the 800-meter. Asam shaved more than ten seconds off her time from last week at the UNH Invitational as she crossed at 3:00.34 while Coppinger finished more than three seconds faster from her time last weekend with a time of 3:01.73.

Senior Carissa Iverson (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) wrapped up the day as she extended her personal best and program record in the long jump, leaping 4.33m on the day.

The Lynx will wrap up their regular season next weekend as they head to Regis College for the annual Pride Invitational.
