BOSTON – The Lesley University men's and women's track team traveled to nearby Boston University for the annual David Hemery Valentine Invitational this weekend. The Lynx had a strong showing a field that featured some of the top runners from around the country.
Senior Ariana Thomas (Shrewbury, Vt.) crushed her personal-best time in the 1-mile by twelve seconds as she crossed the line at 6:05.08. Thomas' previous best mark was 6:17.51 which she turned in on December 6th at the UMass-Boston Invitational.
Fellow senior Carissa Iverson (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) competed in the 60-meter dash with a time of 9.15 while sophomore Sydney Altschuler (Durham, Conn.) raced to a time of 3:59.83 in the 1000-meter.
On the men's side, seniors Nick Tuccinardi (Melrose, Mass.) and Spencer Crispino (Montgomery, N.J.) finished with times of 8.97 and 9.04, respectively, in the 60-meter dash.
