Williams Paces Lynx at George Davis Invitational

LOWELL, Mass. – Lesley University sprinter Tyree Williams (Boston, Mass.) posted two top-twenty finishes at the George Davis Invitational hosted by UMass-Lowell this afternoon to lead the Lynx attack. Williams started the day with a 13th place finish with a time of 11.89 in the 100-meter dash and followed that with a 20th place finish in the 200-meter. The sophomore cruised to a time of 24.05 in the event.

Four other Lesley runners were in action at the Invitational, all competing in the two-mile run. Sophomore Nick Green (Stoughton, Mass.) paced the Lynx in the event as he crossed at 9:54.11. Senior Max Bulger (Falmouth, Me.) followed Green at 9:52 while sophomore Ian Barber (Westhampton, Mass.) and senior Andy Scott (Merrimac, Mass.) crossed at 10:32.22 and 10:19.74, respectively.

The Lynx will return to Cambridge next weekend when they participate in the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT at 10:00a.
