Three Runners Set Personal Bests at John Thomas Invite

BOSTON, Mass. – Lesley University senior Andy Scott (Merrimac, Mass.) and sophomore Ian Barber (Westhampton, Mass.) both posted personal-records in the 1-mile run to pace the Lynx at the John Thomas Invitational this afternoon at Boston University in a field of professional and Division I, II, III runners. Scott crossed the line in 4:41.51 while Barber finished the race in 4:46.87.

Sophomore Tyree Williams (Boston, Mass.) had an excellent performance as well, setting a personal-record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.61.

Senior Max Bulger (Falmouth, Me.) rounded out Lesley's impressive day at the track with a season-best 16:07.74 time in the 5000-meter. Bulger cruised in the final kick, posting a 5:02 split in the third mile, passing a multitude of runners in the final 800-meters.

The Lynx will return to the track on Saturday, February 1st when they compete in the Harvard Invitational in Cambridge.
