Green Sets Mark in 5000-meter at Jay Carisella Invite

BOSTON, MASS. – Lesley University sophomore Nick Green (Stoughton, Mass.) snapped the Lesley program record in the 5000-meter with a time of 15:21.31 at the Jay Carisella Invitational hosted by Northeastern University this afternoon. Green's time was good enough to qualify for the NCAA Division III New England Championships as well as the ECAC Championships. This marks the second consecutive meet in which the sophomore has cracked a Lesley program record after snapping the 3000-meter mark in the Harvard Open last weekend.

Green was joined by freshman Kilton Webb (Wayne, Me.) at the event who completed the 1-mile run in 5:00.06.

The Lynx will be back in action after the Winter Break when they participate in the Tufts Invitational on January 18, 2014.
