Mens Tennis Falls to Falcons, 7-2

MATCH OVERVIEW:

Watertown, Mass.-- The Lesley men's tennis team dropped their fourth consecutive match to slip to 0-4 on the young season.  Visiting Albertus Magnus College claimed the 7-2 victory going 5-1 in the singles portion and 2-1 in doubles play.  With the win, the Falcons improve 4-5 overall.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Patrick Corcoran claimed the lone victory for the Lynx in the singles match up, defeating Alex Proscino in the No. 5 spot. Corcoran held a 3-0 lead over Proscino in the 2nd set before a retirement from Proscino, but the Falcons proved their strength defeating the Lynx in two sets for the remainder of the singles meet.
  • Christian Fox had a strong showing against Nick Tayliaferri in the No. 6 position, but Tayliaferri finished strong with set scores of 6-4, and 6-3 to close out the singles play.
  • Corcoran had a strong day for Lesley earning the lone victory in the doubles portion with partner Evan Zona.  The Corcoran and Zona tandem defeated Proscino and Tayliaferri in a close battle edging them out just by one, 8-7.

Lesley is back on the court for the third day in a row, Monday April 1st when they travel to Rhode Island College.
