Men's Tennis Falls to Regis College

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University men's tennis team fell to Regis College, 9-0, in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action, Wednesday evening. Junior Chris Harrow (North Reading, Mass.) led the way to victory with a two 6-0 wins in first singles.

Harrow partnered with teammate sophomore Luke Horton (Bass Harbor, Maine) to defeat junior Niko Marcolini (Newbury, Mass.) and first year Beowulf Urban (Blue Hills, Maine), 8-0. The Pride did not look back. First years Evan Russell (East Wareham, Mass.) and Kyle Dugat (Houston, Texas) took third doubles from junior Evan McDermod (Portsmouth, N.H.) and Adam Valladares (Middleton, N.H.), 8-0.

In the singles portion of the competition, Horton and Harrrow were two of four players to knock off their opponents in two straight sets. Harrow defeated Urban in second singles, 6-0, 6-0 while sophomore Cam Charbonneau (Guilford, Conn.) and senior Nick Hildreth (Harvard, Mass.) won fourth and fifth singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Lynx first year Evan Flaherty (Scituate, Mass.) was able to pull out two games in the first set of third singles but it was not enough against Pride first year Nolan Bebarta (Danville, Calif.).

Lesley drops to 3-7 on the season and 2-3 in the conference while Regis improves to 14-5 and 5-0 in NECC action. The Lynx return to the hard-court on Tuesday April 18th when they travel to Weston, Mass. to face the Pride at 4:30 p.m.
