Regis Downs Men's Tennis in NECC Finale

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College blanked Lesley University in the New England Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis finale for the Lynx on a chilly Wednesday afternoon at the Regis Courts. The Pride improve to 12-6 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the NECC while the Lynx drop to 0-8 on the year and in the NECC.

The Pride swept all three doubles matches by a score of 8-0 led by sophomore Chris Harrow (North Reading, Mass.) and freshman Luke Horton (Bass Harbor, Maine) who defeated Lynx sophomore Niko Marcolini (Newbury, Mass.) and senior Jack Tortorici (Grass Valley, Calif.) in the top doubles flight.

Marcolini managed to win a game against Harrow in the first singles match, but the Regis sophomore would prevail 6-0, 6-1. Horton defeated freshman Max Anthony (Cambridge, Mass.) in number two doubles while junior Jarid Polley (North Reading, Mass.) down Tortorici in the third flight.

Regis completed the match with three straight 6-0, 6-0 decisions in fourth, fifth, and sixth singles.

Lesley will wrap up their home schedule and honor Tortorici on Senior Night tomorrow night when they play host to Curry College at 6:45p at the Harvard Tennis Courts.
