Men's Tennis Picked to Finish Fourth in NECC Preseason Poll

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University men's tennis team has been voted to finish fourth in the New England Collegiate Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen made the announcement.

The Lynx return senior captain Jack Tortorici (Grass Valley, Calif.) and top singles player Niko Marcolini (Newbury, Mass.) to the team that has made the conference tournament in three of the last four years.

Three-time defending champion Regis College was chosen to finish atop the conference standings once again as they received all five first place votes and 25 total points. It was a tight race for second as Becker College and Mitchell College finished with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Wheelock College rounded out the poll in fifth place with nine points.

Lesley will open up 2016 play on Tuesday, March 22nd when they host Becker at 7:30p at BBN.
