Men's Soccer Announces 2017 Fall Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University men's soccer team announced their 2017 fall schedule Thursday afternoon. After making their ninth consecutive New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament appearance in 2016, the 2017 season features 11 non-conference opponents.

For the second straight year they will open with the Commonwealth Coast Conference's and future NECC opponent Eastern Nazarene College at home on Friday September 1st at 8:00 p.m. They will then go on a four-game road trip beginning with two Great Northeast Athletic Conference foes Mount Ida College and Regis College on September 3rd and September 6th, respectively.

After two games on the road against Wentworth Institute of Technology and Babson College, the Lynx return home to face Pine Manor College on September 19th before going back on the road. Lesley will open NECC action on the road against Dean College at 1:00 p.m.

During the last week of September, Lesley will travel to Rotch Field for the 12 Annual Charles River Cup against Emerson College at 8:00 p.m. The Lynx will be looking to take back the Cup for the first time since 2012 when they defeated the Lions 2-1 at home. Emerson holds a 6-4-1 record over Lesley in the Charles River Cup after a 1-0 shut-out in Cambridge last season.

Following two non-conference road matches against Rivier University and Curry College, the Lynx kicks off a three-game home-stand against conference foe Newbury College on Saturday October 7th. The Nighthawks knocked the Lynx out of the 2016 post-season with a 4-2 win in the NECC First Round.

After facing NECC foe Wheelock College on Saturday October 21th, the Lynx will break from conference play when they face the GNAC's Suffolk University on Sunday October 22nd. Lesley returns to NECC action with a mid-week match at Mitchell College on October 25th before coming back home for Senior Day against Southern Vermont College on Saturday October 28th.
