CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University men's soccer team has had five players named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference Team, announced today by Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen.
Junior Anthony Vitta (Oceanside, N.Y.) was voted to the First Team while senior Billy Baker (Sacramento, Calif.) took home Second Team honors. Fellow senior Harrison Sidell (Newhall, Calif.) and junior Nuno Pereira (Sao Filipe Fogo, Cape Verde) were named to the Third Team while sophomore Enzo Bertolotti (New York, N.Y.) was placed on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Vitta was voted to the All-Conference team for the first time in his career after setting a career-high with three goals and matching a personal-best with four assists in seven NECC matches.
This is the third straight season for Baker to be voted to the All-Conference team. The senior tri-captain anchored the Lesley defense as a middle back while also finding the back of the net once in a win over Wheelock.
Sidell was voted to the NECC Third Team for the second straight season after finishing the season with six goals and one assist in 17 matches, including potting three goals and one assist in eight conference affairs.
Pereira powered the Lesley attack all season and led the team with eight goals and a team-best 16 points in his first season in a Lynx uniform.
