Five From Men's Soccer Honored by NECC

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Five members of the Lesley University men's soccer team have been recognized on the New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference Teams, announced today by NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen.

Junior Billy Baker (Sacramento, Calif.) has been named to the All-Conference First Team, senior Ryan Richardson (Santa Barbara, Calif.) was voted to the Second Team, and fellow senior Marcel Howard (Newport News, Va.) and junior Harrison Sidell (Newhall, Calif.) were each added to the Third Team. Lynx senior Tyler Zielinski (Belleville, N.J.) was voted to the inaugural All-Conference Sportsmanship team.

This marks the second time that Baker has been voted to the All-Conference team in his career, following a Second Team Honor in 2014. The tri-captain was solid all season long in the middle of Lesley's backline.

Richardson's honor is the first of his career as he was voted to the Second Team. The senior forward was tied for the team lead with eight goals and 17 assists.

Sidell also accounted for eight goals and 17 assists on the season and earned Third Team honors. Joining him on the Third Team is Howard who helped stabilize the Lynx defensive unit while also potting one goal and three assists.

Hard work and fair play earned Zielinski a spot on the All-Conference Team. The senior also had a strong season on the field with one goal and three assists in 17 matches.
