CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University men's soccer head coach Jim Costa has announced the 2015 schedule for the Lynx, an 18-match slate including competition from some of the top programs in the region.
"Our players and coaching staff are very excited about the upcoming season and we look forward to once again challenging ourselves against some very tough competition," said the second year head coach. "I know that our returning players are very motivated to build upon our accomplishments from last season."
The season will kick off with a two-game road trip as the Lynx will open up at Eastern Nazarene College on Tuesday, September 1st before heading to Mount Ida College on September 4th.
Lesley will return to Cambridge and open their home schedule on Labor Day – Monday, September 7th – against Emmanuel College at 8:00p at Edward Field.
After trips to Anna Maria College and Babson College, the Lynx will look to capture their sixth win in the last seven meetings against Suffolk University back at home.
A year after reclaiming the Charles River Cup on penalty kicks, the Lynx will travel to Emerson College on September 16th in hopes of keeping the trophy for the second straight season.
Lesley's eight-match New England Collegiate Conference schedule will open with a pair of matches on the road at Daniel Webster College and Regis College before opening October with four straight home matches, three of which will be NECC bouts.
The Lynx will celebrate Senior Night on Halloween with a conference matchup against Southern Vermont College before the NECC Tournament begins on November 4th.
