CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University freshman, Erik Johansen (West Harrison, N.Y.), has been named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations, Robb Modica, made the announcement in the conference weekly report. This marks the second time Johansen has been honored as conference Rookie of the Week.

Johansen continued the stifling start to his collegiate career, scoring four times in two games, including a hat trick in a 6-0 win over Southern Vermont.

Erik Johansen – Lesley University

Johansen had a huge week for the Lynx, finding the back of the net four times in just two games. The freshman scored a goal on his only shot in a 3-1 loss to Emerson and followed up that performance with three goals in a win over Southern Vermont. Johansen added all three of his tallies in the opening half, leading the Lynx to a 6-0 win.
