Freshman Skylar Ripley (Yuba City, Calif.) has been honored by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as the conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 1st, 2013. Ripley helped the Lynx get off to a 1-0-1 start on the year with a win over Suffolk University and a 0-0 draw with Mount Ida College.

In his first game in a Lesley uniform, Ripley connected for the game-winner in the season-opener on Friday night. In a fantastic individual effort, Ripley stole the ball and placed a shot past the diving goalkeeper and into the lower-left corner in the 83rd minute giving the Lynx a 1-0 victory over Suffolk.
