VERMONT - The Lesley Men's Soccer team's first-ever weekend trip to Vermont didn't turn out as the Lynx would have hoped, as they lost back-to-back NAC conference matches to Castleton State on Saturday, 5-2, and to Johnson State on Sunday, 5-0.

The defeats made Lesley 3-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the NAC.

The Lynx' best chance for a victory came on Saturday, as freshmen Steve Monteiro (Shelton, Conn.) and Imad Elkatrib (North Quincy, Mass.) each scored a goal.

Elkatrib - the team's No. 1 goalie who was making his first appearance in the field - made it a 3-2 Lesley deficit when he finished off a pass from freshman James Boursiquot (Bridgeport, Conn.) in the 67^th minute. But in the 75^th and 78^th minutes, Gerrit Marino scored twice for Castleton State and put the game out of reach.

On Sunday, Lesley went into the half down just 1-0, but Johnson State knocked in four more scores in the second half and out-shot the Lynx 23-5 for the game.
