Golding Nets Second NECC Rookie of the Week Honor

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – For the second time this season, Lesley University men's basketball freshman Xeo Golding (Windermere, Fla.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullen made the announcement today in the conference Weekly Report.

Golding helped power the Lynx to their first win of the season last week as they topped Mount Ida College 83-75 in a non-conference tilt last Thursday. The first year forward also garnered the award on November 16th following collegiate debut.

Golding is averaging a team-best 18.3 points per game on the season while also leading the Lynx with a 44.6-shooting percentage from downtown.

NECC MEN'S BASKETBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Xeo Golding, Lesley (Fr., F, Windermere, Fla.) - Golding knocked down seven three's on his way to a game-high 24 points to lead the Lynx to their first win of the season with an 83-75 victory over Mount Ida on Thursday. The freshman forward followed up with 17 points in a loss to Wentworth on Saturday. For the week, Golding averaged 20.5 points while hitting 56-percent on (9-of-15) shooting from beyond the arc.
