CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University graduate and former captain of the men's basketball program, Mike Kaufman, may have found a way to keep his playing career in motion. Kaufman, who graduated this past May with a degree in Business Management with a minor in Psychology, is currently seeking offers to play professionally in Israel.
The former guard averaged 9.5 points per game in his senior campaign and finished his career with a 39-percent shooting percentage from three-point range – a mark that could help most any club.
The Sun Sentinel newspaper has followed the Boca Raton, Fla. native's journey to the professional ranks.

"Kaufman is currently looking for his first job out of college. Unlike many of his peers, however, Kaufman is seeking to become a professional basketball player in Israel.
Kaufman, 6'2" and 200 lbs., averaged 9.5 points in his senior season as a guard and captain of the Lesley University basketball team, which competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division III. In high school, Kaufman attended the American Heritage School in Delray Beach.
Kaufman is currently visiting Israel for the first time on a Birthright trip. He has retained an agent, Matan Simon-Tov, who is confident Kaufman will make a team.
