Lewis Tabbed as NECC Rookie of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University freshman Trevonn Lewis (Chicago, Ill.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week for the first time in his career. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations, Robb Modica, made the announcement this morning in the conference Weekly Report.

Lewis had a big week as he sparked the Lynx offense with eight points and four assists in a 73-58 win over Framingham State University while dropping a career-high 21 points in a loss to Gordon College on Saturday. The speedy guard has been hot of late as he has scored in double-figures in three of the past four games.

Lewis buried a career-high 21 points in a loss at Gordon College while corralling four rebounds. The rookie also came off the bench to score eight points, grab four boards, dish out four assists while sweeping two steals in a 73-58 win over Framingham State University on Thursday night. On the week, Lewis averaged 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds. 3.5 assists while shooting 44% from the field.
