Lynx conduct youth clinic at Basketball 2 the Limit

NEWTON, MA -- Lesley's men's basketball team conducted a youth clinic with elementary and middle school students from the "Basketball 2 the Limit" AAU program, providing basketball skills lessons and hitting home the importance of being a student as well as an athlete.

Students rotated through several stations of individualized, skill-specific drills, after which the Lynx coaches and players passed on the importance of academics in building a student-athlete.

"The most important advice I shared with my group of kids was some tips on how to be a successful student athlete," said Lesley junior Mike Kaufman. "It's always great to give back to the community, and I was happy to be able to teach basketball fundamentals to these young, motivated players."

According to Lynx sophomore Justin Rosa, "It was fun teaching the younger kids skills that will help them become better basketball players and young men."

Added Kaufman, "It was a basketball program, but most of all, we gave them advice on being student-athletes."
