Five players hit double-digit points in loss to Curry

MILTON, Mass. - In a high scoring game with Curry College, the Lesley University men's basketball lost 96-85 despite having five players score in double-figures.

Joe Chatman (Boston, Mass.), Jesus Trejo (Methuen, Mass.), Mark Stevens (Las Vegas, Nev.), Zach Rocha (New Bedford, Mass.) and Malcolm Andrews (Medford, Mass.) had 28, 16, 11, 10 and 10 points respectively for the Lynx.  Andrews grabbed 11 rebounds, six offensive, to complete the double-double in the losing effort.

The Lynx jumped out to a 16-9 lead in the first half after Elliot King (Malden, Mass.) hit a three-pointer, but the Colonels fought back to take a 46-42 advantage going into halftime.  Curry never relinquished that lead in the second half as the high-scoring affair continued.  Lesley made a case for a late game comeback but Curry was able to hit key free throws down the stretch to win the game.

The Colonels had a huge game from senior guard Tim Jones (Brookline, Mass.) who had 30 points and six assists to lead Curry.  Johnathan Bowers (Kalamazoo, Mich.), Curry's 6'10" center, had 17 points, 16 rebounds, and two blocks in the victory.

On Saturday December 8 at 1 p.m., Lesley will travel to Becker College for their first conference match up while Curry will go to Newbury College on the same day.
